Farm

KiekeBoe campsite is located on the grounds of a small, characteristic dairy farm. You're welcome to give us a call and come and see what we do on the farm.

Have you always wanted to…

...want to watch the cows being milked?

...want to ride on a tractor?

...want to get the cows from the pasture with the farmer?

…want to feed and cuddle the cows and calves?

...want to play in a haystack?

...want to experience farm life?

Then our farm campsite is a great experience for you.

A conscious farm with healthy cows!

Our farm is home to approximately 60 dairy cows, and we work with them every day with great passion and pleasure. Our cows can rest in deep-litter boxes and enjoy a wonderful massage with our special cow brush. Because we want our cows to have the best possible health, they are allowed outside year-round, weather permitting. One of our unique experiences is when the cows go outside for the first time in spring.

Outside, they can enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, and a fresh patch of green grass. In winter, the cows receive supplemental feed with high-quality roughage, all of which we grow ourselves. Combined with concentrates and, if necessary, by-products (e.g., potato chips), we strive to provide our cows with the most complete ration possible. Milk production isn't our top priority; we prioritize animal health!

Farming is in our hearts and is something you do together with nature!

From mid-June through October, a large portion of our cows move to adjacent nature reserves. During this period, the cows can graze the nature reserve. Because the cows eat the grass and then fertilize it, a cycle is created.

A fun fact is that the cow manure attracts a lot of insects, which in turn encourage special birds to breed and settle in these nature reserves. All the plots we use are managed and maintained in collaboration with the Limburg Water Board.
