Who are we?
We are a young family, carrying on with love, passion, and joy, building on the foundation built by previous generations. Valentijn shares the daily care of the dairy farm with his parents. During the camping season, Marissa welcomes you to our peaceful farm campsite.
We also love our son Mayson very much, our dog Mellow, our beloved cows and the beautiful surroundings we call home.
Meaning of Peekaboo
Literal translation as probably everyone knows it: Kiekeboe is a composition of kieken 'to look' and the interjection boo, and thus describes how the following game is played: the mother hides her face, attracts her child's attention by calling out 'kiek', then shows her face and says boo!
We've added a little twist here. In Limburg, when we look at something, we say "kieke" in the Limburg dialect. The second part of the name is self-explanatory; a cow says "moo." This is how we ultimately came up with the name Kiekeboe.
Literal translation: watching the cows. Would you like to come and see our ladies grazing happily in the meadow?
